A 100kW rooftop system is typically installed within five to ten working days once network approval is granted. Arrays above 500kW are staged so production and trading hours are never interrupted.
Will solar cover our night-time usage?
Rooftop solar generates during daylight only. Businesses running 24/7 usually pair the array with battery storage, or use export credits earned during the day to offset overnight tariff charges.
Do we need approval from Ergon or Energex?
Yes. Any system above 30kW requires a formal connection application. SEBSS prepares and lodges it, including export limiting where the network requires it.
What financial incentives apply?
Systems up to 100kW claim STCs as an upfront discount on installation. Larger projects generate Large-scale Generation Certificates instead, which we register and manage on your behalf.
