ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING

Electrical Contracting & Switchboards

Licensed electrical contracting under Licence 73850, from switchboard upgrades to thermal imaging and safety audits.

Solar sits on top of your existing electrical infrastructure, and a tired switchboard is the most common reason an install stalls. SEBSS holds full electrical contracting licensing in its own right, which means switchboard upgrades, three-phase conversions, and compliance work are handled by the same team rather than subcontracted out and scheduled around someone else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my switchboard need upgrading for solar?

Older boards often lack the spare capacity, RCD protection, or physical space required to safely add a solar circuit. Upgrading is frequently a prerequisite for network approval rather than an optional extra.

What is thermal imaging used for?

Infrared scanning reveals connections running hotter than they should, which is the earliest reliable warning of a loose termination or an overloaded circuit. It is a routine part of commercial maintenance.

Do you work outside solar installations?

Yes. We take on general electrical contracting for commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential clients whether or not solar is involved.

Are you licensed to work in New South Wales?

We service both Queensland and northern New South Wales. Contact the office to confirm coverage for your specific location before booking.
