Solar Health Check & Repairs in Moreton Bay & the Sunshine Coast
Is your system producing what it should? Our licensed electricians test panels, inverters, isolators and switchboards, fix faults, and tell you honestly whether to repair, upgrade or add a battery.
When to book
Signs your solar needs a check
Solar faults are often silent: the system keeps running, just producing less. If any of these sound familiar, a health check will find out why.
Your bill crept up
Higher bills with no change in usage often mean the system is under-producing.
Inverter errors or no lights
A red light, an error code or a blank screen usually means part or all of the system is offline.
Low output in the app
Output well below the same season last year can point to a failed string, shading or damaged panels.
After a storm or hail
Cracked glass and micro-cracks are not always visible from the ground. Get the system tested before relying on it.
Your installer has closed
We look after orphaned systems installed by other companies, including warranty claims where possible.
Planning a battery
A health check first confirms your panels and inverter can charge a battery properly.

Every check is done by our own licensed electricians and ends with a written report, photos and plain-English recommendations.

- Thermal imaging of panels, connections and switchboard to find hot spots
- Visual inspection of panels, frames, mounting and roof penetrations
- Rooftop DC isolators and cabling for water entry and damage
- Inverter diagnostics, error history and firmware
- Switchboard, circuit protection and earthing
- Monitoring app and Wi-Fi connection
- Written report with photos and a fixed-price repair quote if needed
Repairs
Common faults we fix
| Fault | Common cause | Usual fix |
|---|---|---|
| Inverter offline or showing an error | Failed component, grid voltage trips, isolator fault | Diagnose, repair or replace the inverter; warranty claim where possible |
| Rooftop isolator failure | Water entry and UV damage over time | Replace with compliant isolators and sealed enclosures |
| Low output | Failed string, new shading, dirty or damaged panels | Test each string, replace damaged panels, re-plan the layout if needed |
| Storm or hail damage | Cracked glass, micro-cracks, damaged cabling | Safe shutdown, written assessment for your insurer, repair or upgrade |
| Safety switch or earth-fault trips | Damaged insulation, moisture in cabling | Insulation testing and cable repair |
| Monitoring stopped working | Router change, Wi-Fi dropout, expired account | Reconnect and re-set up the monitoring app |
Safety first: solar panels produce voltage whenever there is daylight, even with the system switched off at the switchboard. Never climb onto the roof or touch damaged panels or cabling. Follow the shutdown label next to your inverter and call a licensed electrician.
After the check
Repair, upgrade or add a battery?
We tell you honestly which option makes sense for your system's age and condition, not which one costs the most.
Repair
Best when the system is under about 10 years old and the fault is isolated, like one inverter or isolator.
Upgrade or replace
Worth considering for older systems with several faults, or where hail has damaged panels. Solar system replacement.
Add a battery
If the solar is healthy, adding storage can cut evening bills. Add a battery to existing solar.
