Can a battery be added to my existing solar system?
In most cases yes. An AC-coupled battery works alongside your current inverter without replacing it. If your inverter is nearing end of life, a hybrid replacement is often the better long-term option.
How long will a battery run my house in a blackout?
That depends on which circuits you back up. A 13kWh battery typically carries essential loads such as lighting, refrigeration, and power points through a full night, with solar recharging it the next day.
Will a battery pay for itself?
Payback depends on your tariff, your evening consumption, and how much surplus you currently export at a low feed-in rate. We model this honestly before quoting, and will say so if storage does not stack up for your usage.
Can the battery participate in a Virtual Power Plant?
Several of the battery ranges we install are VPP-capable. We will explain the trade-off between VPP credits and retaining full control of your stored energy.
